I'm Sam, the creator of Homespun Clothing.  I work with our small but mighty team at our base in Suffolk.

This is an expansion on our previous range of fine cashmere pieces. While cashmere will always be the bedrock of our collection, it felt right to add our timeless collection of beautifully made women’s clothes.  I look at my own wardrobe and decide on the pieces I think I need/want...let's face it, most of us don't need more clothes but we're allowed to want!

All our clothes are designed at my studio in Suffolk. As the studio is at the back of our shop (@newstreetmarketwoodbridge), we can always get immediate feedback on potential new styles.

We work mainly with family owned companies in Britain and around the world. Some we met by chance, some we sought out for their known excellence. 

We are committed to producing sustainably and our range is the antithesis of fast fashion.  We want these clothes to be worn for a lifetime and then passed on....I still wear my Granny's gardening cardigan.  Clothes connect us with people and memories.

I moved to Suffolk some years ago from London, with 3 young children, and a wardrobe full of tailoring and high heels. I quickly added 4 dogs and a cat to the menagerie.  It didn't take long to realise that I needed clothes that would suit my life in the country but also for buying appointments in London. I want to look and feel good, but everything has to be washable. I haven't totally abandoned the heels, all our trousers and jeans look great with heels.  Equally, all our dresses can be worn over a cashmere jumper on the cooler days throughout the Summer months....well we do live in Great Britain!

Homespun Clothing is a selection of easy pieces designed to look great without putting too much time or thought into dressing… so you can get on with the rest of your day.
